Introduction
Class 1 laser CMOS sensor with dual output and IO-Link, patent pending. The ultimate solution for tough applications — reduce sensor inventory with reliable, durable sensors capable of solving the most challenging detection problems. Resolves distance-based tough applications regardless of target surface reflectivity, including black foam on black plastic, black rubber in front of metal, transparent objects, multi-color packaging, and targets of various colors. Rugged housing made of FDA-grade stainless steel with IP69K protection, resistant to mechanical shock, over-tightening, and extreme vibration. Bright output indicators and real-time distance feedback simplify setup and troubleshooting, reducing installation costs. Dual channel and IO-Link capable. The Q4X sensor's normal state is Run Mode, in which switchpoint values and channel selection can be changed and selected teach methods executed; the secondary state is Setup Mode, in which teach mode can be selected, all standard operating parameters adjusted, and a factory reset performed.
Features
- Display: 4-digit 7-segment LED; main screen is the run mode screen. In 2-point, BGS, FGS, and dynamic teach modes, displays current distance to target (mm); in dual teach mode, displays percentage match to the taught reference surface.
- Output indicator: ON = output active; OFF = output inactive.
- Stability indicator (STB): ON = signal stable within specified sensing range; flashing = signal edge condition, target exceeds specified sensing range limits or multiple peaks detected; OFF = no target detected within specified sensing range.
- Active teach indicators (DYN, FGS, and BGS): all OFF = 2-point teach mode selected (default); DYN ON = dynamic teach mode selected; FGS ON = FGS teach mode selected; BGS ON = BGS teach mode selected; all ON = dual teach mode selected.
- Sensor can be programmed using the sensor buttons (SELECT)(TEACH), (+)(CH1/CH2), and (−)(MODE).
