AS5200L is an easy-to-program stacked dual-die magnetic rotary position sensor with redundant high-resolution 12-bit I²C or PWM output. This contactless system measures the absolute angle of an axially magnetized magnet. Designed for contactless potentiometer applications, the AS5200L features a robust design that eliminates the influence of any uniform external stray magnetic fields. The industry-standard I²C interface enables simple user programming of non-volatile parameters without a dedicated programmer. By default, the output range is 0 to 360 degrees. A smaller output range can also be defined by programming the zero angle (start position) and maximum angle (stop position). The AS5200L also features intelligent low-power mode functionality that automatically reduces power consumption. Designed for automotive applications, the AS5200L is AEC-Q100 Grade 1 compliant. For safety-critical applications, it integrates two independent sensor dies in an MLF-16 (5x5) package with solderable side wings.
