Introduction
IAM-20380HT is a Grade 2 3-axis gyroscope MotionTracking device for automotive non-safety applications, housed in a compact 3×3×0.75mm³ (16-pin LGA) package. It features a 4096-byte FIFO that reduces serial bus interface traffic and lowers power consumption by allowing the system processor to burst-read sensor data and then enter low-power mode. The IAM-20380HT integrates 3-axis functionality, enabling manufacturers to eliminate the costly and complex selection, qualification, and system-level integration processes associated with discrete devices, ensuring optimal motion performance.
The gyroscope offers a programmable full-scale range of ±250 fps, ±500 fps, ±1000 fps, and ±2000 fps. Factory-calibrated initial sensitivity for both sensors reduces production line calibration requirements.
Additional industry-leading features include an on-chip 16-bit ADC, programmable digital filter, embedded temperature sensor, and two programmable interrupts. The device supports I²C and SPI serial interfaces, with a VDD operating range of 1.71V to 3.6V and a separate digital IO supply VDDIO ranging from 1.71V to 3.6V.
