Broadcom AFBR-2529SIZ

The Broadcom AFBR-2529SIZ receiver consists of an IC with an integrated photodiode, providing outputs compatible with TTL logic families. The receiver can handle any type of signal from DC to 50MBd, with transmission distances up to 50m using 1mm POF, up to 200m at 10MBd and up to 120m at 50MBd using 200µm PCS fiber. It is a 4-pin device housed in a Universal Link package. Universal Link components can be interlocked (N components combined together) to minimize space and provide dual connections via duplex connectors. The AFBR-2529SIZ features a monitor output that provides an analog voltage proportional to the average optical input power. Universal Link components offer a variety of simplex and duplex connectors as well as POF cables. For optical links using the AFBR-2529SIZ, Broadcom's AFBR-16xxZ transmitter is recommended, which uses a 650nm LED light source with integrated optics and driver IC. The AFBR-2529SIZ outputs an inverted signal — data output is low when light is present, and high when it is not.
