Introduction
The NSL-5112 is a photoresistive cell with sensitivity in the visible light spectrum. The CdS photocell is mounted on a 2-lead ceramic package, with the photocell surface encapsulated in plastic for moisture resistance. Advanced Photonix CdS photocells are photoresistive elements designed for visible light measurement, sensing light in the 400 to 700 nm range. Resistance decreases with increasing illumination, with spectral response characteristics similar to the human eye. These LDRs are available in a range of resistance values, in either dual-lead plastic-coated ceramic packages or hermetically sealed metal can packages.
