The TMAG5231 is a second-generation, low-power Hall-effect switch sensor designed to optimize the total system cost of compact, battery-powered consumer and industrial applications. When the applied magnetic flux density exceeds the operating point (B₀P) threshold, the device outputs a low voltage. The output remains low until the magnetic flux density drops below the release point (B_RP), after which the device outputs a high voltage. The omnipolar magnetic response makes the output sensitive to both north and south magnetic fields. The TMAG5231 can operate with very low current consumption. To achieve a current consumption of 2 μA, the device performs internal power cycling at a rate of 20 Hz. The TMAG5231 is available in industry-standard packages and pinouts, including SOT - 23 and X2SON. The device has a V_CC range of 1.65 V to 5.5 V and an operating temperature range of - 40°C to 125°C.
