KEMET's pyroelectric infrared sensors feature a slim profile design that operates without a lens, enabling compact designs ideally suited for detecting human presence via infrared signals. KEMET's proprietary piezoelectric ceramic material and pyroelectric infrared sensor structural development allow the sensor to detect human presence through solid plastic materials or glass, offering greater flexibility in mechanical and optical appearance design for end products. The sensor can be used without a lens; for extended detection range, KEMET's proprietary lenses in three different colors are also available. Sensors integrated in module solutions are now easier to mount, with drive circuitry included in the package for true plug-and-play operation.
