This sensor is a resistance temperature detector (RTD) that uses a platinum resistor as the sensing element. The platinum resistor consists of a structured platinum film on a ceramic substrate, passivated with a glass coating. The contact areas are solderable silver-palladium (AgPd). This SMT sensor can be mounted face-down onto a PCB. The characteristic curve of this platinum RTD complies with DIN EN 60751. The use of platinum as the resistive material ensures long-term stability. Tolerance classes are determined at 25°C (room temperature calibration). The platinum temperature sensor complies with DIN EN 60751, offering global interchangeability, wide temperature range, fast response time, Class B (F0.3) tolerance, compact form factor, and 1206 SMT package size. Due to its small size and light weight, this RTD has a low time constant, making it a suitable solution for fast and precise feedback control systems.
