The ATGBICS compatible SFP-501-C 10/100/1000BASE-T Copper SFP transceiver is a high-performance, cost-effective module compliant with Gigabit Ethernet and the 10/100/1000BASE-T standards specified in IEEE 802.3-2002 and IEEE 802.3ab. It supports data transmission at 10/100/1000Mbps over unshielded Category 5 twisted-pair cable with a reach of up to 100 meters. The SFP-501-C supports 10/100/1000Mbps full-duplex data links using 5-level Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) signaling. All four pairs in the cable are utilized, with a symbol rate of 250Mbps per pair. The SFP-501-C provides standard serial ID information compliant with the SFP MSA, accessible via the 2-wire serial CMOS EEPROM protocol at address A0h. The PHY IC is also accessible via the 2-wire serial bus at address ACh.
