Introduction
The M series platinum resistance temperature detectors (Pt-RTDs) are characterized by long-term stability and excellent accuracy over a wide temperature range. The M222 is a standard product combining high performance with high availability. This product is suitable for pyrolysis furnaces, household appliances, HVAC, medical equipment, industrial process monitoring, and similar applications. In principle, this product can also be used in automotive applications; in such cases, YAGEO Nexensos will evaluate whether additional requirements (e.g., IMDS, PPAP) can be met based on customer specifications. The nominal resistance measurement point is located 8mm from the end of the sensor body.

- Temperature coefficient TCR = 3850 ppm/K
- In water (flow rate v = 0.4 m/s): t0.5 = 0.05 s, t0.9 = 0.15 s; in air (flow rate v = 2 m/s): t0.5 = 3 s, t0.9 = 10 s
- Measuring current: 0.3 to 1 mA for Pt100 Ω, 0.1 to 0.7 mA for Pt500 Ω, 0.1 to 0.3 mA for Pt1000 Ω (self-heating to be considered)
- After 1000 hours storage in air at the stated upper temperature limit, resistance drift at 0 °C does not exceed the tolerance value of the tolerance class per DIN EN 60751; typical drift of R(0 °C) after 1000 hours at +500 °C is 0.04 %
- Self-heating at 0 °C: 0.4 K/mW
- Insulation resistance >100 MΩ at 20 °C, >2 MΩ at 500 °C
- Vibration resistance: min. 40 g acceleration at 10 to 2000 Hz, depending on mounting conditions
- Shock resistance: min. 100 g acceleration at 8 ms half-sine pulse, depending on mounting conditions
- Connection technology: soldering, crimping, brazing
- Lead type: platinum-plated nickel wire
- Lead tensile strength ≥9 N
- Packaging: blister reel, plastic bag; other packaging formats available on request
- Shelf life: at least 12 months (in original packaging)
