Introduction
The Broadcom AFBR-15x9xZ analog transmitter uses a 650-nm LED light source housed in a package designed to efficiently couple into 1-mm polymer optical fiber (POF) and 200-μm diameter plastic-clad silica (PCS) fiber. It supports link lengths up to 50m with 1-mm POF and up to 200m with 200-μm PCS. It is designed for interoperability with Broadcom HFBR-25xxZ, AFBR-25xxZ, and AFBR-26xxZ receivers. The transmitter is a 4-pin device housed in a versatile link package. Versatile link components can be interlocked (N components combined) to minimize space and provide duplex connectivity via duplex connectors. A variety of simplex and duplex connectors as well as POF cables are available for versatile link components.
