Introduction
AW5015 is a low noise amplifier designed for GNSS applications including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou. A built-in DC-blocking capacitor at the RF port eliminates the need for an external input capacitor, allowing the chip to be placed as close as possible to the antenna to minimize trace losses. Its minimal peripheral component count — requiring only a single external input matching inductor — reduces board space and delivers a cost-effective solution.
The AW5015 employs a proprietary Smart Linearity Technology (SLT), featuring ultra-low noise figure, high linearity, and high gain, with supply voltage support ranging from 1.5V to 3.6V. These characteristics make the AW5015 an ideal choice for GNSS LNA applications: the ultra-low noise figure significantly improves receiver sensitivity, while the high linearity enhances out-of-band interference rejection and relaxes pre-filter requirements, thereby reducing the overall cost of GNSS receivers.
The AW5015 is housed in a compact 1.1mm × 0.9mm × 0.45mm DFN-6L package, rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
