LP38690 and LP38692 low-dropout CMOS linear regulators feature tight output tolerance (2.5% typical) and ultralow dropout voltage (450mV at 1A load current with VOUT = 5V), delivering excellent AC performance through the use of ultralow ESR ceramic output capacitors. The wafer-level WSON, SOT-223, and TO-252 packages offer low thermal resistance, enabling full-current operation even in high-temperature environments. The use of a PMOS power transistor eliminates the need for DC base drive current biasing, keeping ground pin current below 100μA regardless of load current, input voltage, or operating temperature.
