The TLV62130 device is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC-DC converter optimized for high power density applications. The device features a typical switching frequency of up to 2.5MHz, allowing the use of small inductors, and provides fast transient response with high output voltage accuracy by leveraging DCS-Control™ topology. This device supports a wide operating input voltage range of 3V to 17V, making it well suited for systems powered by lithium-ion or other batteries as well as 12V intermediate power rails. The output voltage ranges from 0.9V to 5V, supporting up to 3A continuous output current (using 100% duty cycle mode). The output voltage startup ramp is controlled by the soft-start pin, enabling operation from an independent supply or in a tracking configuration. In addition, power sequencing can be implemented by configuring the enable pin and open-drain power-good pin. In power save mode, the device generates approximately 19μA quiescent current based on VIN. The device automatically and seamlessly enters power save mode at light loads, maintaining high efficiency across the full load range. In shutdown mode, the device turns off with a supply current of less than 2μA during shutdown. The device is available in a 3mm×3mm (RGT) 16-pin Very Thin Quad Flat No-Lead (VQFN) package.
