ADI AD7171BCPZ-500RL7

The AD7171 is an ultralow power, 16-bit ADC featuring a precision 16-bit Σ-Δ ADC and an on-chip oscillator. With a supply current of only 135 μA, the device is ideally suited for portable or battery-powered products requiring ultralow power consumption. It also features a power-down mode in which the supply current drops to just 0.5 μA, extending battery life.

For ease of use, all features of the AD7171 are pin-controlled. Each time a data read operation occurs, 8 status bits are appended to the 16-bit conversion result. These status bits contain a code sequence that can be used to verify the validity of the serial transmission.

The AD7171 has an output data rate of 125 Hz and a settling time of 24 ms. It features one differential input with a gain of 1. This is useful in applications where an external amplifier is required to meet system-specific filtering or gain requirements.

The AD7171 operates from a 2.7 V to 5.25 V supply and is available in a 10-lead LFCSP.
