Introduction
TPS54360B-Q1 is a 60V, 3.5A step-down regulator with an integrated high-side MOSFET. Per ISO 7637, the device can withstand load dump pulses up to 65V. Current mode control provides simple external compensation and flexible component selection. Low-ripple pulse skip mode reduces no-load supply current to 146μA. When the enable pin is pulled low, shutdown supply current drops to 2μA. UVLO is internally set at 4.3V but can be raised using an external resistor divider on the enable pin. The output voltage startup ramp is internally controlled to achieve a controlled startup and eliminate overshoot. Wide switching frequency range enables optimization of efficiency or external component size. Frequency foldback and thermal shutdown protect internal and external components under overload conditions. TPS54360B-Q1 is available in an 8-pin thermally enhanced HSOP PowerPAD package.
