Introduction
The TPS54110 is a low input voltage, high output current, synchronous step-down PWM converter with all required active components integrated. In addition to the listed features, the substrate includes a true high-performance voltage error amplifier (providing high performance under transient conditions); an undervoltage lockout circuit (to prevent the input voltage from reaching 3V during startup); an internally and externally configurable slow-start circuit (to limit inrush current); and a power-good output (for processor/logic reset, fault signaling, and power sequencing). The TPS54110 device is housed in a thermally enhanced 20-pin HTSSOP(PWP) PowerPAD package, eliminating the need for large heat sinks. Evaluation modules and additional technical support are available to facilitate rapid high-performance power supply design, meeting demanding device development cycle requirements.
