Both INA138 and INA168 are high - side unipolar shunt monitors. Devices of this type feature a wide input common - mode voltage range and low quiescent current, and are packaged in a small SOT - 23 package, making them widely applicable to various applications. The input common - mode and supply voltages are independent of each other. The voltage range of INA138 is from 2.7V to 36V, and that of INA168 is from 2.7V to 60V. With a quiescent current of only 25μA, it allows the power supply to be connected to either side of the current - measuring shunt, while the error is very small. The device can convert a differential input voltage into a current output. This current is converted back to a voltage using an external load resistor, and the gain of this resistor can be set in the range of 1 to over 100. Although this circuit is designed for shunt measurement, it is also well - suited for measurement and level conversion in creative applications. Both INA138 and INA168 are available in an SOT23 - 5 package and are rated for a temperature range of - 40°C to 125°C.
