The TLV8x3 series supervisory circuits primarily provide circuit initialization and timing supervision for DSPs and processor-based systems.

The TLV803, TLV853, and TLV863 are functionally equivalent. The TLV853 and TLV863 offer alternative pin assignments that differ from the TLV803.

During power-up, RESET is asserted when the supply voltage (VDD) exceeds 1.1V. As long as the following condition is met, the supervisory circuit monitors VDD and holds RESET active: VDD remains below the threshold voltage VΠ. An internal timer delays the output from returning to the standby state (high level) to ensure proper system reset. The delay time (td(typ) = 200ms) begins after VDD exceeds the threshold voltage VΠ. When the supply voltage falls below the threshold voltage VΠ, the output becomes active (low level) again. All devices in this series have a fixed sense threshold voltage (VΠ) set by an internal voltage divider.

This product family is designed for 2.5V, 3V, 3.3V, and 5V supply voltages. These devices are available in a 3-pin small-outline transistor (SOT)-23 package. The TLV803 devices are rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
