The RailClamp TVS array is an ultra-low capacitance ESD protection device designed to protect high-speed data interfaces. This series is specifically designed to protect sensitive components connected to high-speed data and transmission lines from overvoltage caused by ESD (electrostatic discharge), CDE (cable discharge events), and EFT (electrical fast transients). The RClamp0521PA features a maximum capacitance of only 0.50pF, enabling its use in circuits exceeding 3GHz without signal attenuation. It can be used to meet the ESD immunity requirements of IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 (±15kV air discharge, ±8kV contact discharge). The RClamp0521PA is available in a 2-pin SLP1006P2 package measuring 1.0×0.6×0.5mm. The pin pitch is 0.65mm with a lead-free surface finish. Each device protects a single high-speed line operating at 5 volts, providing designers with the flexibility to protect individual lines in applications where arrays are not suitable. The combination of small size, low capacitance, and high ESD surge capability makes it ideal for applications such as mobile phones and digital video interfaces.
