Introduction
The TLV61220 device provides a power solution for products powered by one, two, or three alkaline, NiCd, or NiMH cells, or a single Li-ion or Li-polymer cell. The achievable output current depends on the input-to-output voltage ratio. The boost converter is based on a hysteretic controller topology with synchronous rectification, achieving maximum efficiency with minimal quiescent current. The output voltage of this adjustable version can be set via an external resistor divider, or can be internally set to a fixed value. The converter can be shut down via a dedicated enable pin. During shutdown, battery consumption is minimized. The device is available in a 6-pin thin SOT-23 package (DBV).
