Introduction
The TMP75 and TMP175 are digital temperature sensors and ideal replacements for NTC and PTC thermistors. These devices provide ±1°C typical accuracy without calibration or external component signal conditioning. The temperature sensor is highly linearized, eliminating the need for complex calculations or lookup tables to determine temperature. The on-chip 12-bit ADC offers resolution as low as 0.0625°C. These devices are available in the industry-standard LM75 SOIC-8 and MSOP-8 footprints.
The TMP175 and TMP75 are compatible with SMBus, two-wire, and I2C interfaces. The TMP175 supports up to 27 devices on a single bus, while the TMP75 supports up to eight devices. Both the TMP175 and TMP75 feature SMBus Alert functionality.
The TMP175 and TMP75 are suitable for extended temperature measurement across a wide range of applications, including communications, computers, consumer electronics, environmental monitoring, industrial, and instrumentation.
The TMP175 and TMP75 are rated for operation over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
TMP75 production units are fully tested with NIST-traceable sensor testing and verified using NIST-traceable equipment with ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibration.
