SOLA-IC SLM6305

The SLM6305 is a 2.5A lithium-ion battery charger supporting wide-range voltage input. It employs a 550kHz fixed-frequency synchronous buck converter with integrated power transistors to perform trickle, constant-current, and constant-voltage charging, achieving over 90% charging efficiency with minimal self-heating. The device integrates 28V high-voltage components to effectively protect against damage caused by surge voltages or accidental connection to high-voltage adapters, ensuring high operational safety. It incorporates a complete charge termination circuit, automatic recharge function, and a preset 4.2V charge voltage with ±1% accuracy. Multiple protection features are built in, including reverse current protection, output short-circuit protection, and chip and battery temperature protection. The SLM6305 adopts a compact DFN3x3-10L package, requires minimal external components, occupies a small PCB footprint, and is well-suited for integration into various handheld applications as a high-efficiency charger for high-capacity batteries. Two drain-open status indicator outputs with 28V voltage rating are integrated on-chip. The power management circuit automatically reduces charging current when the junction temperature exceeds 145°C, maximizing device utilization while preventing damage from overheating.
