Hammond was founded in 1916, initially as OS Hammond and Son in a backyard workshop in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Starting from the 1930s, Hammond began manufacturing a range of 2-post racks and narrow cabinets, gradually becoming a significant supplier of transformers, racks, cabinets, and enclosures for the electrical and electronics industry. The company primarily produces electrical and electronic enclosures, racks and cabinets, distribution panels, and electronic transformers.
