Introduction
The PGA281 is a high-precision instrumentation amplifier with digitally controlled gain and signal integrity testing capabilities. This device uses a patented auto-zeroing technique to provide low offset voltage, near-zero offset and gain drift, excellent linearity, and almost no 1/f noise. The PGA281 has been optimized to provide excellent common-mode rejection greater than 110 dB (G = 1) over a wide frequency range. Good common-mode and power supply rejection provides high-resolution, accurate measurements. The 36V power supply capability and wide, high-impedance input range meet the needs of general signal measurements. The PGA281 offers multiple internal gain options in the range of 1/8 V/V (attenuation) to 176 V/V, making this device a versatile, high-performance analog front end suitable for a variety of applications. The fully differential, rail-to-rail output is designed to easily interface a wide range of input signals with the low-voltage domain of high-resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). The PGA281 comes in a thin shrink small-outline package (TSSOP)-16 and is rated for a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
