Introduction
The OPAx340 family of single, dual, and quad op amps represents a new generation of general-purpose, low-power op amps. The family features rail-to-rail input and output swing, low quiescent current (750 µA typical), wide bandwidth (11 MHz), and very low noise (8 nV/√Hz at 10 kHz), making it highly attractive for a wide range of battery-powered applications that require a good balance of cost and performance, such as audio output, motor phase current sensing, photodiode amplification, barcode scanners, and white goods. Low input bias current enables these amplifiers to be used in applications with megaohm-level source impedances. The robust design of the OPAx340 amplifiers provides ease of use for circuit designers: unity-gain stable, capable of driving capacitive loads up to 300 pF, integrated RF/EMI rejection filter, no phase reversal under overdrive conditions, and high ESD protection (4 kV HBM). The OPAx340 amplifiers are optimized for operation over a voltage range of +1.8 V (±0.9 V) to +5.5 V (±2.75 V) at temperatures from 0℃ to 70℃, and can operate over a voltage range of +2.0 V (±1.0 V) to +5.5 V (±2.75 V) over an extended temperature range of −40℃ to +125℃.
