Introduction
The TruStability® High Accuracy Silicon Ceramic (HSC) Series is a piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor that provides a ratiometric analog or digital output for reading pressure within a specified full-scale pressure range and temperature range. The series uses an onboard ASIC to provide full calibration and temperature compensation for sensor offset, sensitivity, temperature effects, and non-linearity. The pressure-calibrated output for analog versions is updated at approximately 1 kHz, and at 2 kHz for digital versions. The series is calibrated over a temperature range of 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F), and the sensor can be powered by a single supply of 3.3 Vdc or 5.0 Vdc. These sensors can measure absolute, gauge, or differential pressure. The absolute version has an internal vacuum reference with an output proportional to absolute pressure; the gauge version uses atmospheric pressure as the reference with an output proportional to changes in atmospheric pressure; the differential version allows measurement of pressure between two pressure ports. TruStability® pressure sensors are suitable for non-corrosive, non-ionic gases such as air and other dry gases. Optional configurations extend the performance of these sensors to non-corrosive, non-ionic liquids at pressure ranges above 40 mbar (4 kPa, 20 inH₂O). All products are designed and manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001.
Features
- ±0.25% FSS BFSL accuracy — reduces software correction needs, shortens system design time, eliminates additional customer calibration, improves system efficiency, and simplifies software development.
- High burst pressure rating enhances system reliability, reduces potential system downtime, and simplifies the design process.
- Wide operating pressure range allows ultra-low pressure sensors to operate continuously at conditions far exceeding the calibrated pressure range.
- Modular, flexible design with multiple package styles, pressure ports, and options — simplifies integration into OEM applications.
- Pressure ranges from ±1.6 mbar to ±10 bar | ±160 Pa to ±1 MPa | ±0.5 inH₂O to 150 psi, supporting a wide variety of applications.
- IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020D.1 MSL 1 compliant — prevents reflow soldering damage, simplifies storage, reduces scrap, eliminates extended bake requirements, ensures stable post-reflow performance, and supports lean manufacturing.
- Optional internal diagnostic capability.
