Introduction
The TW3440/TW3442 utilize Tallysman's unique Accutenna technology, covering the GPS L1, GLONASS L1, and SBAS (WAAS, EGNOS, and MSAS) bands (1574 to 1606 MHz). They are designed for timing, mobile, and precision applications, delivering true circular response across the antenna's full bandwidth for superior multipath signal rejection. The TW3440/TW3442 both feature a highly circular dual-feed wideband patch element paired with a three-stage low-noise amplifier. This configuration provides consistently excellent axial ratio across the entire frequency band. An optional tight pre-filter (model TW3442) prevents saturation caused by high-level sub-harmonics and L-band signals. The TW3440/TW3442 are housed in a permanently sealed, industrial-grade weatherproof enclosure and are available with a variety of connectors. The antenna is offered with either a flat or conical radome. The conical radome is recommended for fixed installations to deter bird perching and facilitate snow and ice removal.
Features
- Excellent axial ratio: 1 dB typical
- High-gain LNA: 40 dB minimum
- Low-noise LNA: TW3440/TW3442 typical values 1 dB/3.5 dB respectively
- Optional sharp pre-filter (TW3442)
- Low current: 19 mA typical
- Wide supply voltage: 2.5 to 16 VDC
- IP67-rated weatherproof housing
- Optional conical radome (timing applications)
Applications
- GPS/GLONASS long-cable mobile/fixed installations
- High-precision and mission-critical global positioning
- Precision agriculture, mining, and construction
