Introduction
By using high-vacuum dry reed switches, isolation voltages as high as 15kV can be achieved. Rhodium or tungsten contacts make these relays suitable for high-reliability applications such as cardiac defibrillators, test equipment, and high-voltage power supplies. Rhodium contact relays offer low contact resistance, while tungsten contact relays are capable of switching higher voltages.
