Introduction
SD690XS is a control IC dedicated to non-isolated LED driving, featuring a floating-ground Buck topology with an integrated 600V high-voltage power MOSFET. In this topology, the IC samples the inductor current internally and forms a closed-loop feedback network via an internal error amplifier, achieving high constant-current accuracy and high input/output regulation. The IC also incorporates built-in PFC control to automatically maintain a high PF across the full voltage range. Critical Conduction Mode (CRM) operation reduces switching losses and improves system conversion efficiency.
SD690XS integrates multiple protection features, including output open-circuit protection, output short-circuit protection, cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection, over-temperature protection, and VCC overvoltage protection.
SD690XS features ultra-low startup and operating currents, enabling efficient driving of high-brightness LEDs across the full input voltage range (85VAC–265VAC).
