ADI HMC854LC5TR-R5

The HMC854LC5 is a 4:1 multiplexer for 28Gbps data serialization. The multiplexer latches four differential inputs on the rising edge of the input clock. The device uses both the rising and falling edges of a half-rate clock to serialize data. An on-chip quarter-rate clock output is available for synchronizing data entering the multiplexer. The multiplexer is DC-coupled and supports wideband operation.

All clock and data inputs of the HMC854LC5 are CML and are terminated on-chip via 50Ω resistors to the positive supply or ground (GND), and can be DC- or AC-coupled. The differential outputs are source-terminated to 50Ω and can also be AC- or DC-coupled. The outputs can connect directly to a 50Ω ground-terminated system or drive devices with CML logic inputs. The HMC854LC5 also features an output level control pin VR for loss compensation or signal level optimization. The HMC854LC5 is powered by a single -3.3V supply and is available in a RoHS-compliant 5×5 mm SMT package.
