The FFSMC series is available in models for diesel fuel and models for wastewater. It is a submersible float switch designed for sewer and industrial wastewater systems. This float switch with a self-weighted cable end is designed for turbulent industrial fluids and fluids containing suspended agglomerates, such as sewage. The version with a polyurethane cable is suitable for fuel oil. Due to the special design of the switching element, the switch is waterproof to a depth of 100m and is insensitive to humidity and condensation, making it suitable for applications where ambient or fluid temperatures may undergo large or rapid fluctuations. This new self-cleaning switching element has a switching capacity of 10A at 250V AC. The housing is manufactured from blow-molded high-density polyethylene (PEHD), and the switching element is encapsulated in closed-cell foamed polyurethane, which is non-hygroscopic and seals the assembly. The switch incorporates an internal counterweight that positions the center of gravity and pivot point close to the cable entry. External counterweights are also available to adjust the pivot position. The molded round shape prevents solids from accumulating and causing the float to sink.
