Introduction
The AD8469 is a fast comparator fabricated using a proprietary XFCB2 process. It features an input range from V_EE − 0.2 V to V_CC + 0.2 V, low noise, TTL/CMOS-compatible output drivers, adjustable hysteresis control, and a shutdown input. With a typical supply current of 500 μA, the device delivers 40 ns propagation delay at 10 mV overdrive while driving a 15 pF load. The device offers flexible supply options: it can operate from a +2.5 V single positive supply with an input signal range of −0.2 V to +2.7 V, or from a positive supply up to +5.5 V with an input signal range of −0.2 V to +5.7 V. The TTL-/CMOS-compatible output stage is designed to drive capacitive loads up to 15 pF with full rated timing specifications; when additional capacitance is present, output stage performance degrades modestly in a linear manner. The comparator input stage provides robust large-signal overdrive protection; the output does not invert when the input exceeds the valid input signal range. The AD8469 is available in an 8-pin MSOP package with a shutdown pin and hysteresis control feature. It is rated for a temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.
