Introduction
The AD8027/AD8028 are high-speed amplifiers featuring rail-to-rail input and output, low operating voltage, and optimization for high performance and wide dynamic signal range. Both devices offer low noise (4.3nV/√Hz, 1.6pA/√Hz) and low distortion (120dBc at 1MHz). The AD8027/AD8028 are ideal for applications requiring low distortion while using a fraction or the full input dynamic range. When the input signal crosses a threshold voltage, the input stage of many rail-to-rail input amplifiers switches from one differential pair to another, causing distortion. The AD8027/AD8028 feature a unique characteristic that allows users to select the input crossover threshold voltage via the SELECT pin. This feature enables control of the switching voltage of the complementary transistor input pair. The AD8027/AD8028 also inherently exhibit low crossover distortion. The wide supply voltage range (2.7V to 12V) and wide bandwidth (190MHz) make the AD8027/AD8028 amplifiers suitable for a variety of applications requiring high speed and high performance at low supply voltages. The AD8027/AD8028 achieve high performance at low quiescent current, with a typical quiescent current of only 6.5mA per amplifier. The AD8027/AD8028 feature a shutdown mode controlled via the SELECT pin. The AD8027/AD8028 are available in SOIC-8, MSOP-10, and SOT-23-6 packages, rated for the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
