Introduction
LSN50v2 is a long-range LoRaWAN sensor node designed for outdoor use. Powered by a lithium/thionyl chloride battery, it enables long-term deployment with low power consumption and secure data transmission. It is designed to help developers rapidly deploy industrial-grade LoRaWAN and IoT solutions. The LSN50 v2 helps users turn ideas into real-world applications, making IoT a reality — easy to program, create, and connect devices anywhere.
Based on the SX1276/SX1278, the LSN50v2 allows users to transmit data at low data rates over extremely long distances. It delivers ultra-long-range spread-spectrum communication with high interference immunity while minimizing current consumption. It is suited for professional wireless sensor network applications such as irrigation systems, smart metering, smart cities, smartphone detection, building automation, and more.
The LSN50v2 uses STMicroelectronics' STM32L0x chip — an ultra-low-power STM32L072xx microcontroller combining USB 2.0 crystal-less connectivity with a high-performance ARM Cortex-M0+ 32-bit RISC core running at 32 MHz. It features an MPU, high-speed embedded memory (192 KB Flash program memory, 6 KB data EEPROM, and 20 KB RAM), and an extensive range of enhanced I/Os and peripherals.
The LSN50v2 is an open-source product based on the STM32Cube HAL drivers, with a wide range of libraries available on the ST website for rapid development.
