Introduction
SDH698XR is a control IC dedicated to non-isolated LED drivers. The peripheral application adopts a floating-ground Buck topology with a built-in high-voltage power MOSFET and high-voltage depletion transistor. In this topology, the IC samples the inductor current internally and uses an internal error amplifier to form a closed-loop feedback network, achieving high constant-current accuracy and high input/output regulation. The IC also features integrated PFC control, automatically delivering a high PF value across the full voltage range. Its critical conduction mode reduces switching losses and improves system conversion efficiency. SDH698XR achieves a high power factor without requiring an external integration capacitor. SDH698XR integrates a VCC voltage regulator and a high-voltage power supply control module, which charges the VCC capacitor within a defined VCC range, eliminating the need for external power supply and high-voltage startup circuitry, thereby reducing cost and board area. SDH698XR incorporates multiple protection features, including output open-circuit protection, output short-circuit protection, cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection, and over-temperature protection. SDH698XR features ultra-low startup and operating currents, enabling efficient driving of high-brightness LEDs across the full input voltage range.
