Introduction
The 74AVC1T1022 is a 1-to-4 fan-out buffer used for clock distribution. It features dual power supplies (VCC(A) and VCC(B)) for voltage conversion. It also has one data input (A), four data outputs (1Yn and 2Yn), and one output enable input (OE). VCC(A) and VCC(B) can be powered independently, with a voltage range between 0.8 V and 3.6 V. This makes the device suitable for low-voltage conversion between the following voltages: 0.8 V, 1.2 V, 1.5 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, and 3.3 V. The levels of A, OE, and 1Yn are referenced to VCC(A), while the output 2Yn is referenced to VCC(B). This power supply configuration ensures that two fan-out signals can be used for level conversion. Pulling OE high will pull all outputs low through pull-down resistors, and pulling OE low will disconnect the pull-down resistors and enable all outputs. The Schmitt trigger action on all inputs allows the circuit to tolerate slower input rise and fall times. The IOFF circuit disables the outputs, preventing any harmful reverse current through the device when it is powered off.
Applications
- Clock distribution
- Voltage conversion
- Level shifting
