Introduction
CA-IS373x is a high-performance, three-channel digital isolator with precise timing characteristics and low power dissipation. When isolating CMOS digital I/O, the CA-IS373x provides high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions. All device versions feature Schmitt-trigger inputs for high noise immunity. The logic input and output buffers of each isolation channel are separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO2) dielectric isolation barrier. The CA-IS3730 has all three channels in the same direction, with output enable on the output side (Side B). The CA-IS3731 has two forward channels and one reverse channel, with output enable on both sides. All devices offer a failsafe mode option. If the input-side power supply fails or the signal is lost, devices with suffix L default to a low output, while devices with suffix H default to a high output. The CA-IS373x provides high isolation capability, helping to prevent noise and surges on data buses or other circuits from reaching the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. High CMTI capability ensures correct transmission of digital signals. The CA-IS373x is available in 16-pin narrow-body SOIC and 16-pin wide-body SOIC packages. All products carry an isolation rating of 3.75kVrms, and wide-body package variants support withstand voltage up to 5kVrms.
