Introduction
The IRF6893MPbF combines the latest HEXFET® power MOSFET silicon technology with the advanced DirectFET™ package to achieve the lowest on-resistance in a package with SO-8 footprint and a height of less than 0.7 mm. The DirectFET package is compatible with existing layout geometries, PCB assembly equipment, and vapor phase, infrared, or convection soldering techniques used in power applications. The DirectFET package supports dual-side cooling to maximize thermal transfer efficiency in power systems, reducing thermal resistance by 80% compared to the previous best.
The IRF6893MPbF achieves industry-leading on-resistance while minimizing gate charge and featuring low gate resistance, thereby reducing conduction and switching losses. The device integrates a Schottky diode to reduce the body-drain diode Qrr, further minimizing losses in synchronous buck circuits. These reduced losses make the product well suited for high-frequency/high-efficiency DC-DC converters powering high-current loads such as next-generation microprocessors. The IRF6893MPbF is optimized for critical parameters in the synchronous FET slot of synchronous buck converters.
