Introduction
MS5188N is an 8-channel, 16-bit, charge redistribution successive approximation ADC operating from a single supply. The device integrates all components required for a multichannel, low-power data acquisition system, including a no-missing-code true 16-bit SAR ADC, an 8-channel low-crosstalk multiplexer configurable for single-ended (with or without reference ground), differential, or bipolar inputs, an internal low-drift voltage reference (4.096V) with buffer, a temperature sensor, an optional single-pole filter, and a sequencer particularly useful for sequential continuous sampling across multiple channels. MS5188N supports configuration register writes and conversion result reads via a simple SPI interface, which uses a separate supply (VIO) that can be set to match the host logic level. Power consumption scales proportionally with conversion rate. MS5188N is available in a compact QFN20 package and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
