Introduction
The MAX-M8 series concurrent GNSS modules are based on the high-performance u-blox M8 GNSS engine, housed in the industry-recognized MAX form factor. These modules can simultaneously receive up to three GNSS systems (GPS/Galileo, plus BeiDou or GLONASS). The MAX-M8 modules can concurrently track multiple constellations, delivering excellent positioning accuracy in urban canyons or weak signal environments. The modules provide high performance even at low power levels. For better and faster positioning, the MAX-M8 modules support QZSS and IMES augmentation, as well as WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS, and GAGAN. The MAX-M8 modules support message integrity protection, geofencing, and spoofing detection, with configurable interface settings to accommodate customer applications. The MAX form factor facilitates easy migration from previous MAX series products. u-blox MAX-M8 modules use AEC-Q100-qualified GNSS chips, manufactured in ISO/TS 16949-certified facilities, and are fully tested at the system level. Qualification testing is conducted in accordance with ISO 16750, "Road vehicles — Environmental conditions and testing for electrical and electronic equipment." The MAX-M8 modules are available in three product variants.
