Introduction
The ISO7421EDR digital isolator features outstanding performance characteristics and reliability, surpassing optocouplers and other digital isolator technologies in overall performance. Intelligent capacitive division technology, as a next-generation digital isolator technology based on the capacitive voltage divider principle, enables precise transmission of voltage signals across the isolation barrier without modulation or demodulation. Each transmission channel operates independently, supporting multiple transmission direction configurations, with isolation voltage ratings from 1.5kV rms to 5.0kV rms and signal transmission from DC to 600Mbps. It supports 3.0V supply voltage and is compatible with 3.0V to 5.5V signal level translation. When the input power supply is unpowered or no input signal is present while the output power supply is active, the isolator output defaults to a defined logic level.
