Introduction
The ISO776x-Q1 devices are high-performance six-channel digital isolators that offer isolation ratings of 5000 VRMS (DW package) and 3000 VRMS (DBQ package) in accordance with UL 1577. These devices in this series are also certified by VDE, CSA, TUV, and CQC. While isolating CMOS or LVCMOS digital I/Os, the ISO776x-Q1 series devices provide high electromagnetic immunity, low emissions, and low power consumption. Each isolated channel has a logic input and a logic output buffer separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO₂) insulation barrier. The ISO776x-Q1 series devices are available in all possible pin configurations, so all six channels can be in the same direction, or one, two, or three channels can be in the reverse direction while the remaining channels are in the forward direction. If the input power supply or signal is lost, devices without the suffix F default to a high output, while devices with the suffix F default to a low output. When used in conjunction with an isolated power supply, these devices help prevent noise currents on data buses (e.g., CAN and LIN) or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuits. Thanks to innovative chip design and layout techniques, the electromagnetic compatibility of the ISO776x-Q1 series devices is significantly enhanced, which can mitigate system-level ESD, EFT, and surge issues and meet radiated standards. The ISO776x-Q1 series devices are available in 16-pin SOIC and SSOP packages.
