Introduction
The AD5424/AD5433/AD5445 are CMOS, 8/10/12-bit, current output DACs. These devices operate from a 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply, making them suitable for battery-powered and many other applications. The data readback feature allows users to read the contents of the DAC register via the DB pins. At power-up, the internal registers and latches are filled with zeros, and the DAC output is at zero scale. These devices are fabricated using a CMOS submicron process, delivering excellent four-quadrant multiplication characteristics with a large signal multiplication bandwidth of up to 10 MHz. The full-scale output current is determined by the applied external reference input voltage (V_REF). When used with an external current-to-voltage precision amplifier, the integrated feedback resistor (R_FB) provides temperature tracking and full-scale voltage output. These devices offer improved multiplication bandwidth performance over the AD5424/AD5433/AD5445, but feature a latched interface and cannot be used in transparent mode. The AD5424 is available in a 20-lead LFCSP and a 16-lead TSSOP package, while the AD5433/AD5445 DACs are available in 20-lead LFCSP and TSSOP packages.
