Introduction
This dual-bit non-inverting translator is a bidirectional level translator designed to establish digital switching compatibility between mixed-voltage systems. It features two independently configurable supply rails: the A port supports an operating voltage of 1.65V to 5.5V and tracks the VCCA supply, while the B port supports an operating voltage of 2.3V to 5.5V and tracks the VCCB supply. This enables support for both lower and higher logic signal levels, providing bidirectional translation capability between 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V voltage nodes. When the output enable input is driven low, all I/O ports are placed in a high-impedance state, significantly reducing quiescent current consumption. An internal pull-down current source is present on the output enable whenever VCCA is powered. To ensure a high-impedance state during power-up or power-down, the output enable should be connected to ground through a pull-down resistor; the minimum value of this resistor is determined by the current source capability of the driver. The RS0102-Q1 is available in a green VSSOP8 package with an operating ambient temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
