Introduction
The CMT10XXX is an electrically isolated CAN transceiver compliant with ISO11898-2 (2016). It provides ±70V DC bus fault protection and a ±30V common-mode voltage range. In CAN FD mode, it supports data rates up to 5Mbps, enabling faster payload transmission compared to classic CAN. The device features a silicon dioxide insulation barrier capable of withstanding 5000VRMS voltage and 1060VRMS working voltage. EMC performance is significantly enhanced, achieving system-level ESD, EFT, and surge protection while meeting radiated emissions standards. When used with an isolated power supply, the device protects against high-voltage transients and prevents noise currents on the bus from entering the local ground. The CMT10XXX is available in basic and reinforced isolation versions, supports a wide ambient temperature range of –40°C to +125°C, and comes in (WB) SOIC16, DUB8, and SOW8L packages.
