Introduction
This 4-bit non-inverting translator is a bidirectional voltage-level translator designed to establish digital switching compatibility between multi-voltage systems. It uses two separate configurable supply rails: Port A supports an operating voltage of 1.65 V to 3.6 V and tracks the VCCA supply; Port B supports an operating voltage of 2.3 V to 5.5 V and tracks the VCCB supply. These features enable simultaneous support for lower and higher logic signal levels while providing bidirectional translation capability between 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V, and 5 V voltage nodes. When the output enable (OE) input is driven low, all I/Os are forced into a high-impedance state, significantly reducing quiescent current consumption. To ensure a high-impedance state during power-up or power-down, the OE pin should be connected to ground through a pull-down resistor; the minimum resistance value is determined by the current-sourcing capability of the driver.
