Introduction
TDS4A212MX and TDS4B212MX are high-speed differential channel multiplexer/demultiplexer switches. These devices are designed to support high-speed differential interfaces up to 32 Gbps, such as PCIe 5.0, CXL 2.0, USB4 Version 2.0, Thunderbolt 4, and DisplayPort 2.0. TDS4A212MX and TDS4B212MX have different pin assignments. TDS4B212MX features an optimized pin assignment for high-frequency performance, while TDS4A212MX has a pin assignment that facilitates PCB layout. Port A (An+ and An-) connects to either Port B (Bn+ and Bn-) or Port C (Cn+ and Cn-), determined by the combination of the select pin and output enable pin. When the output enable pin is held high, the switch opens (high-impedance state) regardless of the select pin state, resulting in low power consumption current. The device is designed to operate over a temperature range of -40°C to 105°C, making it suitable for applications including industrial use cases.
