The S-82A1A series is a protection IC for lithium-ion/lithium-polymer rechargeable batteries, incorporating a high-precision voltage detection circuit and delay circuit. This series is designed to protect single-cell lithium-ion/lithium-polymer rechargeable battery packs against overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent. By using an external overcurrent detection resistor, the series achieves high-precision overcurrent protection with minimal susceptibility to temperature variations.

• High-accuracy voltage detection circuit: overcharge detection voltage range 3.5V to 4.6V, accuracy ±20mV; overcharge release voltage range 3.1V to 4.6V, accuracy ±50mV; overdischarge detection voltage range 2.0V to 3.0V, accuracy ±50mV; overdischarge release voltage range 2.0V to 3.4V, accuracy ±100mV; discharge overcurrent detection voltage 1 range 0.010V to 0.100V, accuracy ±3mV; discharge overcurrent detection voltage 2 range 0.030V to 0.200V, accuracy ±5mV; load short-circuit detection voltage range 0.050V to 0.500V, accuracy ±20mV; charge overcurrent detection voltage range -0.100V to -0.010V, accuracy ±3mV.

• 0V battery charging support: selectable enable or disable.
