Based on Skyworks' proprietary MultiSynth™ flexible frequency synthesis technology, the Si5332 can generate any combination of output frequencies with excellent jitter performance (RMS of 190 fs). The device's highly flexible architecture enables a single device to generate a wide range of integer and non-integer related frequencies across up to 12 differential clock outputs, with 0 ppm frequency synthesis error. The device offers multiple output banks, each connectable to an independent voltage supply, making it suitable for mixed-voltage applications. Additionally, the signal format of each clock output is user-configurable. Given its flexibility in frequency, format, and supply voltage, the Si5332 is ideal for replacing multiple clock ICs and oscillators with a single device. The Si5332 can be quickly and easily configured using ClockBuilder Pro™ software. ClockBuilder Pro assigns a custom part number to each unique configuration. Ordering devices with a custom part number enables free factory programming, facilitating a tailored clock solution for each application. Using the Si5332's I²C interface, the device can be configured by the user at power-up, or the internally configured non-volatile memory (NVM) can be reprogrammed with a new configuration using the ClockBuilder Pro field programmer.
